I have a Satellite X205-S9810 and am having the same type of problems with W7 x64 Ultimate, 7057 build. There is a Mass Storage controller that is not loading a driver. This is for my Media card slot as the 4 GB disk in it is not showing up in the computer view. With the 7057 build the hard drive speed improved drastially from the 7048 build, I went from 2.0 disk speeds to 5.0. I am not sure where the Vista drivers are for this device as it works great without loading any drivers. I have the SD host controller installed and working fine, with no errors so I am not sure where the problem is.
I plug in a USB thumb drive and it works find loads in seconds, but the SD slot still does not work. It works fine in Vista x86 Ultimate SP1.
Looked up the TI PCI XX12 Flash Media Controller driver on the Toshiba website and installed this driver and now all is good. Look for the 'Toshiba SD Memory Utilities for Windows Vista/XP' driver
*note* The Speed boost file that I have on a 4 GB disk I am using is not showing up in Windows 7 as taken, it is free space, so I guess if I want to try Speed Boost on Win 7 I will have to get another disk and keep this one for Vista.
