The drivers for JMB36X Standard Dual Channel PCIE IDE Controller for Windows 10 x64 were not found in the catalog. Download DriverPack to select the driver automatically. IDE ATA/ATAPI controller not starting Page 1 of 2 1 2 Last. Jump to page. ASUS does not have a Windows 10 driver for that board but I believe the Windows 8.1. Summary: The device manager doesn't show a listing for 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controller.' And I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be listed. And I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be listed. I got a new laptop, so I wanted to wipe the SSD and install a clean copy of Windows 10 Home.

Standard Dual Channel Pci Ide Controller Driver Windows 10

Hello,
I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I just did a clean install of Windows 10 64Bit.
Sadly I did NOT find much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device manager I have listed under IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.
Without the proper driver, performance and functionality is limited, correct?
Any suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?
Thank you

Hello-
I've been very frustrated with my upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 on my Desktop computer.
I've upgraded two computers at my house to Windows 10. Both have had much different results. My Windows 8 laptop upgraded easily and operates nicely with the update. My much faster Desktop went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and is now super laggy and has been a horrible update. I upgraded both with existing (meaning I didn't do a full wipe and install...but the laptop had nearly nothing on it to begin with).

So I have been trying to figure out what my real problems were with the update on the Desktop (formerly Windows 7 and had tons of old apps, files, etc). I finally noticed that the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller ( which is an Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up. I figured it was an old driver, but it says it has the most recent driver when I tried that. I then tried to uninstall the driver and do a restart, but it still says it is not starting (I believe it installed the same driver again).
I then posted on the reddit for Windows 10 and got the advice to use an Intel utility for the drivers, but that also recognized that the driver was up to date and did nothing. Last night I backed up all my files and did a wipe and fresh install of Windows 10...but still the Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up and has a yellow exclamation point through it in Device Manager
So now I am not experienced enough to know what I should do next. I am figuring that this is just not as compatible with Windows 10 like it was identified and that I should go back to Windows 7...but I am past my 30 days at this point.
